Another bleak set of stats. Just 2 chances on target again. This was by far our worst performance this season and that's saying something. I'll pick out just one thing out of many. Why did Ki play so far back, hardly moving from his 18 yard line? He was our best performer against Arsenal in a more advanced role. Yet Clement chose to play him almost as a defender...mystifying. Then there was Fer and Ayew, both so out of touch at the moment along with Carroll, yet they ALL started the game. Clucas was left high and dry by the fact we had no left sided midfielder. How can a manager play one wide man on the right but ignore the left. Once again mystifying! I'm afraid I can't see anything else but relegation this season, it's depressing going to watch the games.

This is the thing Phil, some people are saying that sacking Clement is pointless and he's not the problem but clearly he's ran out of ideas, he hasn't a clue what to do with what he's got. Ki playing that deep is just stupid, we've got nobody playing close to the front 2/3 and we look like a side who only met on the day of the game.

Yes and in his interview he chose to pick out what we did wrong for their goal. He is totally obsessed with defence, when what we need is an attacking plan. What happened to the stratagem "If they score one, we score two? Now people are saying that the players are unhappy with him. Once that happens, the manager HAS to go.

Clement has definitely ran out of ideas, it's the same patterns of play every game, move the ball wide, move midfielders wide and leave open gaps through the middle. Clement says that they go through and watch the games afterwards yet he can't see that what we're doing is rubbish, ineffective and just not working. Clement is far too negative, gives the players no freedom to get forward and is no wonder that we can barely create a shot on target all game.
