'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Opposition Focus: Crewe Alexandra

Crewe had a disappointing season in leauge one last term after being relegated from the Championship the previous season.

This season the Railway men will be without star man Luke Varney who was sold to Charlton Athletic for £2 million.

Dink from Crewe Vital took some time out to give his opinions on the coming season.

1.What Is your name ?

Dink

2.How Long have you supported Crewe?

'Too long!'

3.Do you think you will do well in L1 Next season?

'Yes, I think we're in good shape with fresh ideas from our newly appointed first team coach Steve Holland. A lot of talk about Dario 'going up stairs', Luke Varney going and Billy Jones going but I don't think fans are all that worried. We've made some promising signings this summer and addressed what was wrong last season. Varney going was the biggest blow of the three but we do have other goal scorers in the team like Maynard, Lowe & Miller to soften the blow. I think on paper we have a comfortable top 6 side - whether we have the depth to cope with injuries, time will tell. '

4.Where do you think you will strengthen for next season?

'Well our strengthening has already been done. Eugen Bopp and Steven Schumacher re-enforce our midfield, Billy Jones from Exeter takes up a left back spot that's been vacant for 3 or 4 years and McCready & O'Donnell have proven themselves with us in the past and are excellent defenders at this level. We may need a new striker but Dario & Steve Holland are looking at our current crop first.'

5. Who do you think is Swansea's most dangerous player?

'This question brings back memories of Lee Trundle taking our defence apart at Gresty Road last season! '

6.Where do you think Crewe and Swansea will come next season?

'I rate Swansea and will stick by my early prediction of 2nd. For Crewe, heart says 6th but head says 8th. .'

7.Will you be making the journey to the Liberty Stadium next season ?

'Absolutely. .'

Thank you Dink have a safe journey to the Liberty Stadium

everyone is saying trundle as our dangerous player but theres a few new faces that teams need to watch out for now, scotland especially i think. anderson sounds like a handful for defenders and bodde is a hard tackler.
