Matty Collins

Matty Collins
Nationality: Welsh
Date of Birth:March 31, 1986
Height:1.76m5ft9in)
Previous Clubs:Swindon Town and Fulham fc.
Position:Midfielder

Matty Collins attracted the attention of Swindon Town when playing at local level in his home town of Merthyr Tydfil. Swindon added him to their youth ranks and it was there that he caught the eye of Premiership side Fulham FC.

It is understood that then Fulham manager Jean Tigana paid in excess of 100,000 for his services. He had made only 12 reserve appearances for the club last season and has failed to secure a first team place. He has been training with the Swans and has impressed Manager Roberto Martinez.Collins will officially join the club on the 1st July

Collins has represented wales at both U17 and U19 Level.

What do the fans think of his signing?

'If he's got any pace, it could be bad news for McD in the competition for places. And at 21 he should be challenging for the first team.'

The way Robertos going were going to have two teams not one! There wont be many places unchallenged now with the amount of players in our squad!
