Kevin Amankwaah started his career with Bristol City making over 25 appearances for the brizzle between 1999-2003. Amankwaah is very lucky to still be playing football after a car crash nearly ended his footballing career in 2002 that left the defender out of the game for a year. His time at Ashton Gate was interrupted by a loan spell at Torquay United in the 2002/03 season, Kevin only played 6 games for the plainmoor based outfit before going back to Bristol City.

Unable to hold down a first team place Amankwaah went on loan to Cheltenham Town fc and made 11 full appearances and 1 sub appearance for the club. He then immediately went out on loan to Somerset outfit Yeovil Town. Impressed by the 6 ft 1 defender the glovers made an approach for him and signed him out right from Bristol in the 2005/06 season making 43 appearances for the Huish Park outfit.

He was out of contract at the club and in august 2006 Swansea City made an approach for the defender. Kevin opted to leave Huish Park and join the Swans for an undisclosed fee. Kevin has been unable to secure a starting spot for the swans, this in part has been down to injury and competion for his place by Alan Tate.

Well Over-priced and failed to live up to expectations. Deserves a fresh start under RM though and has showed signs of promise. Attacks well at times and has assisted consistently whenever he has played but his defensive positions is the worst I've seen in the whole squad. Far too central when at RB and the oppositions left winger always has space when he's playing.
