Injury Boost For Swansea City As Bony Declared Fit
The Swans feared that the striker could have been sidelined with a hamstring problem, as Paul Clement wasn't sure of the extent of the injury, but fortunately his substitution was only precautionary, as scans proved that he didn't damage it at London Stadium.
We missed him in the second half as we didn't have anyone dropping deep to receive and hold the ball up behind the strikers. He was also the only Swans player in the game to register a shot on target, as he forced Joe Hart into a full-stretch save with a good effort from outside the penalty area.
The news means that Bony has been cleared to go off on international duty with Ivory Coast, and hopefully he'll come back without any problems.
A club statement read:
'Bony was substituted at half-time at the London Stadium as a precautionary measure after complaining of tightness in his hamstring,'
'But further analysis has shown that there was no damage done.
'As a result, Bony has been cleared to head off on international duty.'
