Clement Hopes For 2 More Signings After Clucas

Clement Hopes For 2 More Signings After Clucas
Paul Clement has told Sky Sports that he is hoping to finalise two more signings after the expected arrival of Sam Clucas from Hull City.

The Swansea City head coach has revealed that Clucas has had a medical at the club, and now it's just the paperwork to complete the make the move official, Clement told Sky Sports:

'He has had a medical today,'

'I don't believe the paperwork has been signed yet but it is very close to being done and assuming that happens tomorrow he will be a Swansea player.'

Explaining his main attributes, Clement added:

'He is a good footballer and that is what we want here, The fact he can play in so many positions reinforces that he is a good footballer.

'He has experience, he has played at the Premier League level and playing in English football, I also like his story and his background.

'He has had to fight to where he has got to, the route he has come; lower-levels, the Glenn Hoddle Academy, establishing himself at Hull and I think he is going to be a strong addition for us.

After the arrival of Sam Clucas, Paul Clement is now hopeful of bringing another two players in before the Summer transfer window closes at the end of the month. West Brom's Nacer Chadli and Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony are still heavily linked with moves to the Liberty Stadium, while PSV full back Santiago Arias is also a new link this week.

'This is the first one (signing) in the latter parts of the window and hopefully we can do a couple more.'

We don't need wingers, we don't play with them. We need a right back as Naughton can then be dropped and be left back back-up. We also need a Sigurdsson replacement and If Llorente stays we're probably alright up top.
