Swansea City Set To Sign £6.5m Striker?
The Dutch outfit have confirmed that the 21 year-old will now talk to the Premier League side after a fee was agreed.
FC Twente could be keen to get a deal sorted soon to improve their financial problems. Chairman Joop Munsterman said:
'The choice is always up to the player, but the clubs can work it out,'
Despite this news, it's thought that a move for Castaignos is not close yet at this stage.
There have been mixed reviews about the young forward, with his finishing ability coming into question. You have to wonder how many chances he's missing then, as he's scored quite a few goals in the Dutch top flight - 27 goals in 54 starts since 2012. 14 of those goals were scored in 31 games last season.
Some of the media have automatically assumed that Swansea City's search for a striker is to replace Wilfried Bony who is being linked with moves to a number of clubs across Europe. But if Bony does stay, which manager Garry Monk is confident of, he will still need another striker, after three left the club this Summer. Loanee Vazquez, Ngog and Lita all left the Liberty Stadium in recent weeks.
