Hernandez Confident He'll Return vs Sunderland
The Spaniard has been out of action since the club's first win of the season at West Brom due to a hamstring injury.
After missing 7 games, the 28 year-old told the Official Site that he's confident of a return next weekend:
"It was a shame for me because I felt I put in my best performance so far this season against West Brom, and then I pick up a hamstring problem,"
"I`ve had to miss seven games so it has been a frustrating period.
"But now I feel stronger and more confident of being available for the Sunderland game.
"This week has been very important for me and hopefully, with a couple of more days training, the manager will see that I am ready for this game.
"It is an important fixture for us because we need to start picking up points at home.
"But we know Sunderland have a new manager in Gus Poyet, so the players will be looking to do everything to impress him and get a good result."
Hernandez proved to be a big influence in Swansea's first win of the season. He created the opener as Ben Davies volleyed home his cross, before he added a goal late on.
Manager Michael Laudrup will also be hoping to have captain Ashley Williams return from injury according to Wales manager Chris Coleman he could face a battle to return for the South Wales derby in Cardiff on November 3rd.
