Bartley's Recovery 'Coming Along Well'

Bartley's Recovery 'Coming Along Well'
Swansea City defender Kyle bartley has been told that his recovery from a thigh injury is 'coming along well'.

The youngster, who joined at the start of the season from Arsenal for a 1m fee has not a goos start to his Swansea career after suffering an injury setback during a League Cup win against Barnsley.

Bartley has been out for five weeks, and he faces another 8 weeks out, but he told the Official Site that his recovery is going well:

"I`ve reached the five-week stage today,"
"I`ve been for a scan recently and I was told it was coming along well.

"I`ve got another eight weeks of recovery ahead of me, so I am getting there. It wasn`t too bad in the first couple of weeks, but then you`re out of the group and in the gym on your own a lot.

"But I can`t push myself too much too soon as I could knock my recovery back, even though it has been very frustrating for me.

"I played in the cup game against Barnsley and I was looking forward to pushing for a place in the team.

"Then the injury happens and that`s me ruled out for a while.

"But I`ll continue working away in the gym, along with receiving massages and physio work to help my recovery. I`ll have another scan in a couple of weeks and hopefully that will be another good round of news."

Bartley's injury was unfortunate as Laudrup was struggling for defensive options at the time as Chico Flores was serving a 3-match ban after a red card. Currently he has Alan Tate and Garry Monk as centre back replacements.
