United Could Be Too Soon For Caulker

Steven Caulker may not recover in time to return to action against Manchester United at home on Saturday.

The on loan Tottenham Hotspur defender was hoping to make his return from a knee injury this weekend against the Premier League champions, but he looks likely to miss out once again.

The 19 year-old has been sidelined since suffering the injury at Arsenal two months ago.

Rodgers said:

'Steven is progressing well,'

'He has seen the consultant again and we will see how he goes this week.

'If he isn't ready for Manchester United we are hopeful that he will be ready for Aston Villa the week after.'

Rodgers has been boosted though with the news that Neil Taylor, Scott Sinclair and Stephen Dobbie should all be fully fit for this weekend's match.
