Injury Blow For Spurs Loanee Caulker

Injury Blow For Spurs Loanee Caulker
Swansea City have been dealt yet another injury blow with the news that Steven Caulker is set for up to 2 months on the sidelines.

The 19 year-old, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, suffered the injury during last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Arsenal, when he made a goal-line clearance.

He damaged knee cartilage when he made contact with the goalpost and he twisted his knee in the net.

A scan this week confirmed the injury and the news comes as a big blow as Caulker has been superb in all four league games he's played in.

Not only that though, but Swansea City are struggling for defensive cover and they'll be hoping skipper Garry Monk is 100% fit to start on Saturday when they host West Bromwich Albion.

Kemy Agustien could have offered defensive cover but the central midfielder is also out injured along with Craig Beattie.

The Swans have also been left frustrated with the lack of response from Fifa regarding Darnel Situ and Rafik Halliche. It's still not known as to whether or not the two deadline-day signings have international clearance to play for the club.

Our luck is just getting worse, but we should have brought more defensive cover in, simple as that.
