About The Website

About The Website
My name is Kevin Elphick, I'm 18 years old and have been a Swans supporter for around 6 years.

I first started making a website about Swansea in July 2001, a month before the start of the 2001/2002 season. It has changed quite a few times along the way, gaining more recognition each year.

The very first site was built using a simple program called Trellix Web with the site hosted with tripod. As I gained more knowledge and experience with web design I moved on to using Macromedia Dreamweaver to develop some better designs. 3 or 4 designs were made with Dreamweaver before moving onto a manual php system, powered by phpnuke software.

The look of the site wasn't as appealing but it certainly made the job maintaining the site much easier. Adding news, updating content etc was much quicker and the site also introduced a message forum that fans used to discuss the Swans.

A new Sports Network, Vital Football then approached me in July about moving the site over to them. After much consideration and discussion with them, the site was moved over and launched on the 25th October.

Past Designs:

Here are a 2 previous designs of the website - manual designs in 2002-03.
