Monk Out For 2-3 Weeks With Calf Strain

Swansea City have suffered a blow with the news that skipper Garry Monk will spend 2 to 3 weeks on the sidelines with a calf strain.

The defender picked up the injury during the second half of Sunday's 1-0 home win against Middlesbrough.

Brendan Rodgers now has a few problems at the back for Saturday's trip to Doncaster Rovers as Alan Tate is also out, as he serves a one-match ban. The Swansea City boss will therefore be hoping Albert Serran is fit to start, while Neil Taylor will slot in at left back.

Physio Kate Rees

'We received the scan reports back today,'

'It confirmed a small calf strain that could keep him out for two to three weeks.'
