Williams Doubtful For Wigan Athletic Cup Tie
Ashley Williams is a doubt for Tuesday night's Carling Cup 4th round tie at Wigan Athletic after picking up an injury during Saturday's 2-0 win against Leicester City.
The Welsh international suffered mild concussion during the game but he was able to play the entire 90 minutes.
Joe Allen also picked up a knee injury but he is expected to be available for selection to face the Latics.
Brendan Rodgers said:
'Ash is a big player for the team,'
'He's been a stalwart of the side for the last few seasons. His performances for club and country have been outstanding.
'But we've got players in the squad ready to come in and keen to do well.'
