'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rangel Hoping To Be Fit For Blades Clash

Angel Rangel is hoping to be fit for Saturday's big game away at Sheffield United after suffering a groin injury last week at Bristol City.

The Spanish full back received good news following a scan - which gave him the all-clear and allowed him to start training.

Rangel told the official Site that he's hoping he finishes training this week without a problem to be in contention to start at Bramall Lane:

'I thought my season was over at Bristol,''

'I felt a sharp pain in my groin and I thought that was me off back home on a plane to Spain.

'I was devastated.''

'If everything is okay after training tomorrow, I'd like to think the gaffer (Paulo Sousa) will consider me for the game at Sheffield,''

'It's a massive game and I'd love to play a part. It's the biggest game of the season.''

Striker Craig Beattie also returns to full training following a hip muscle injury. Jordi Lopez, Ferrie Bodde and Alan Tate remain on the sidelines.
