Rangel To Sit Out Barnsley Game

Angel Rangel will miss Saturday's home match at Barnsley, but should be fit for the trip to Sheffield United the following weekend.

The Spanish right back received good news after having a scan on the groin injury that he picked up during last week's 1-0 loss at Bristol City. The scan results show only minor damage and he should be back for the remaining 2 games of the season.

Fede Bessone could possibly return from injury to ease the loss of Rangel for the game against Barnsley, which would allow Burnley loanee David Edgar to switch to right back. Alan Tate is another option to replace the Spaniard. Our vice captain has been rested lately because of his ongoing ankle problems but he could return on Saturday.

Albert Serran though will be hoping for another opportunity to be involved in first team action after he replaced Rangel at Ashton Gate.
