Lopez Could Miss The Rest Of The Season

Lopez Could Miss The Rest Of The Season
Swansea City have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Jordi Lopez could be sidelined for the rest of the season.

The Spaniard is out with an ankle injury and the Evening Post today report that he might not be able to play again this season.

Lopez hasn't had the best of starts at Swansea City. He was a first team regular at the start of the season but after a poor run of performances he's hardly had a look-in since, and now he could face being out of action for the remainder of the season.

Swansea City boss Paulo Sousa is struggling in midfield as he also has Darren Pratley, Joe Allen, Andrea Orlandi and Ferrie Bodde out injured.

Joe Allen looks set for a month on the sidelines while there's better news for Darren Pratley who's injury isn't serious. Orlandi however could be out for up to 6 weeks.

To cope with the midfield shortage, Sousa has been looking at a number of targets to bring in on loan ahead of Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest.

Crystal Palace's Neil Danns, Stephen Quinn of Sheffield United and Peterborough's Lee Frecklington are the ones that have been mentioned so far.
