Lopez Doubtful For Middlesbrough Match

The Spanish midfielder limped off during Tuesday's Carling Cup win against Brighton with a dead leg but manager Paulo Sousa is hopeful he'll be fit to play.

We are low on numbers at the moment, especially in midfield as Joe Allen, Darren Pratley and Ferrie Bodde are also unavailable.

In defence, Albert Serran is set for a lengthy spell out after suffering an ankle ligament injury in training.

Ashley Williams should be ok to start despite coming off at half time in yesterday's Wales game as a precaution for a groin injury.

Andrea Orlandi is in contention for a starting place on the weekend after an impressive performance on Tuesday night. He assisted our first two goals as we comfortably beat Brighton 3-0 to set up a second round tie at home to fellow Championship side Scunthorpe.
