Swansea City - Life's Good

Being a Swansea City fan has always had its ups and downs, Promotions inevitably followed by relegations, a team who gave us hope, only for it to cruelly taken away. Play-off chances came and went; only one thing was certain, you could never call Swansea City a boring club.

In the 18 years I have been following the Swans, we are in the best position I have ever known, both in the league and the bank manager`s office. I truly believe that we are on the brink of something special.

Let`s look at the facts: -

The league table doesn`t lie - 6 points clear of 2nd, 7 points clear of 3rd, with a goal difference of +35;

We`ve only conceded 28 league goals all season - despite having a dodgy defence in the eyes of some supporters;

Our lone striker has scored 22 in all competitions;

We`ve got 74 points in the middle of March, 2 points more than the whole of last season;

We`ve lost ONCE since November and only FIVE times all season;

We've got the best up and coming young manager in the whole of the league;

We`ve finally got the ability to sign quality youngsters from outside England;

We`ve got links with Barcelona and Espanyol;

And still we moan!

I know we`ve all got our own opinions about things and its these opinions that make our message boards and forums so popular.

SCFC has been through some tough times over the years, and its only natural for supporters to think they are about to wake up, but lets enjoy the ride, and ride this crest of the wave all the way to the championship!

This will not come crashing around our ankles. Even if we don`t go up this year, we`ll do it next year instead. Under Senor Martinez we`ll end up in the Premiership I`m sure. It`s a case of when not if.

We`ve got 3 tough away games coming up; the Boys are going to need us to be noisy, crazy and above all Positive.

Yes the facts are there, but it doesn't stop the fans becoming nervous, so how must the players be feeling, if we fail this year i can't see us doing it for a while, top players will leave that's for certain
