Another by-product of the Swansea youth set up, Jones signed his first professional contract in October 2006 and has made 7 substitute appearances for the club.

He is a much sought after youngster and attracted interest from premiership clubs but turned down the offer to stay with his home town club.

He made his first senior appearance this season against Walsall in the Johnston's Paint Trophy, he has also made an appearance against Millwall at the Liberty Stadium.

He is a pacey striker who has had a excellent scoring record for the reserves and youth team.

He struggled to force his way near the first team squad and he joined Grimsby Town in 2009.
