Rangel is a Full back defender and reports on the Official site have earmarked his crossing and attacking play as his key attributes.

He signed a performance related contract for an undisclosed fee on June 29th 2007.

He has played on both flanks for his previous club.

He used to play with the no 2 shirt at Terrassa.

Roberto Martinez's reaction on the Official Site:

''He's really excited about joining us, he is hungry and desperate to progress his career and be successful with Swansea City.

He is a good, attacking full-back who is also strong defensively; playing anywhere across the back.'

In his first 2 years at Swansea City, Angel Rangel has proved to be a big favourite amongst the fans for his consistent and impressive performances at right back.

Solid in defence and equally as good on the attack, Rangel has proved to be one of the best full backs outside of the Premiership.
