Swansea still remain top of league one but Doncaster Rovers closed the gap to 10 points after Roberto Martinez's side secured a goalless draw against Nottingham Forest.
Martinez made only one change to the side that brushed aside Doncaster Rovers 4-0 on Friday. In form Thomas Butler was replaced by Andy Robinson in the Swansea midfield. Colin Calderwood also rang the changes bringing in the influential Kris Commons coming into the Forest side after being benched in the 2-2 draw at the New Den against Millwall on the 23rd January.
It was the league leaders that made the brighter start but could not make their possession tell with an early goal. Nottingham claimed the first chance when Kris Commons picked up the ball and fired it into the area but no one in a red shirt could connect.
Former Swansea transfer target had a chance to send the home side into a 1-0 lead but saw his header sail wide. In end to end stuff Roberto Martinez side had the chance to take the lead as defender Wes Morgan headed back to Reds keeper Paul Smith to turn it out for a corner.
Martinez was forced into a change after off the ball Paul Anderson hit the deck with a problem to his calf. Butler stripped and ready came on for the Liverpool loanee.
Swansea were gifted a chance as Andy Robinson saw his shot go wide of Smith in the Reds goal.
Former Swan Nathan Tyson had a chance before the break but Dorus De Vries was equal to his shot.
After the break both sides failed to get an early grip on the game. After some industrious work by the Swans midfield Smith had to be alert to stop Bodde from scoring.
Tyson nearly scored the winner deep into time added on only to see his effort blaze over the bar.
