Luton Town`s torrid week went from bad to worse as league leaders Swansea City took full advantage of the unstable situation at the Kenilworth Road club.
Swansea manager Roberto Martinez rung the changes from the side that faced Brighton in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy southern section semi final in midweek. In came Jason Scotland, Darren Pratley and Leon Britton to slot into a Martinez`s preferred away formation of 4-4-2.
Luton were left shell shocked on 5 minutes as on form Andy Robinson found himself with space to send the ball into the danger area. The resulting goal left Luton fans distraught as Keith Keane put it past his fellow team mate Dean Brill in the Luton goal to send The Liberty Stadium outfit 1-0 up.
Swansea doubled their lead when Spaniard Angel Rangel started a sweeping move which resulted in Guillem Bauza unleashing a shot low into the centre of the Hatters goal to score his first goal in the league to send the South Wales side 2-0 up .It was the home side who clawed a goal back after Hatters top scorer Paul Furlong scored with his first touch for the Bedfordshire club.
Jason Scotland quelled Swansea fans nerves on 82 minutes when he found space in the Luton penalty area to fire past Brill in the Luton goal.
Swansea will turn their attentions to the FA Cup 3rd round replay against Havant and Waterlooville on Wednesday evening at Westleigh Park.
