Swansea City romped to their biggest home win of the season after a 3-0 victory tonight against Northampton.
The 3 points sees us remain top of the League One, two points ahead of Carlisle who occupy the other automatic promotion place.
The Swans fans finally enjoyed some goals at home after some previous poor results at the Liberty.
Martinez made a further 8 changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Horsham in the FA Cup last week. He also changed back to a 4-5-1 formation that he used against Hartlepool 10 days ago.
The fans' were initially rather annoyed and confused at Roberto's decision to continue playing Scotland up front, but it paid off as he scored 2 goals and set up the other.
Garry Monk was missing from the side as he served a 1-match ban for picking up 5 yellow cards this year. Tate replaced him at centre back.
Swansea started the brighter as they did against against Hartlepool 10 days ago.
It was the home side that were to carve out the first chance of the game when Jason Scotland headed the ball wide after a industrious cross from Paul Anderson.
On song Scotland broke the deadlock on 15 minutes .The striker volleyed the ball right into the roof of the net after connecting with a Leon Britton cross.
It was all Swansea early on as Northampton struggled to gain possession.
Northampton were left shell shocked just 2 minutes after conceding the opening goal when Jason Scotland turned provider.
Scotland managed to pull back the ball into the danger area which Darren Pratley slotted home from 18 yards.
Cobblers defender Mark Hughes had their only decent chance but it was a simple save for Dorus De Vries.
Scotland could have scored his 2nd of the game 7 minutes before the break. It was a sweeping attacking move with Robinson and Scotland linking up, but the Trinidad's shot was brilliantly saved by the Mark Bunn.
Swansea were dominant at this stage of the game and fully deserved to go into the break with a 2-0 lead.
Stuart Gray's Northampton Town started with a fresh resolve and created the first chance of the 2nd half when Ryan Gilligan saw his 25 yard effort go well wide.
After that scare Swansea began to reassert their authority on the game with some fine passing moves and good ball retention.
The Liberty Stadium crowd thought Andy Robinson had put Swansea 3-0 ahead after heading Ferrie Bodde's cross into the bottom right hand corner only to see it ruled out for offside by the linesman.
Bodde had a golden opportunity to make it 3-0 with 65 minutes gone when he riffled a shot at goal only to see it go wide of Mark Bunn's goal.
Swansea were awarded a corner which Paul Anderson stepped up to take.
As Anderson's cross came in Guy Branston tugged on Dennis Lawrence's shirt impeding the Defender , referee Cook had no hestitation to point to the spot.
Looking for his 2nd of the evening Scotland stepped up to take the resulting spot kick which he slotted home into the bottom left hand corner to send Swansea 3-0 up with 27 minutes to go.
Dorus De Vries who had very little to do in the 2nd half had to be alert when on 74 minutes pushed a Brett Johnson shot out of play.
Northampton were stretched even further as they played a very high defensive line.
It was that line that Anderson nearly capatalised on when he beat the offside trap and was one on one with Bunn in the cobblers goal.
The Liverpool loanee bearing down on goal shaped his body to shoot but his effort was saved by the outstretched legs of the Northampton keeper.
With time running out Northampton could not respond to the constant pressure being pilled on the cobblers box.
Swansea continued to press for the 4th goal but had to be content with a consummate 3-0 win
Martinez and the Squad will now be brimming with confidence as they travel this weekend to face Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Ground.
