Tranmere 0 Swansea City 1

Swansea City got back to winning ways this weekend after a 1-0 win away at Tranmere.

The goal was a long time coming but we netted the winner 9 minutes from time as Andy Robinson's cross was deflected in by Jennings.

Martinez made 3 changes to his side. Painter returned from injury to replace Austin at left back. Robinson replaced Butler in midfield and Feeney returned from international duty to replace Duffy who was dropped to the bench.

De Vries

Rangel - Monk - Lawrence - Painter

Anderson - Pratley - Bodde - Robinson

Feeney - Scotland

It was another poor performance from the Swans and a rather lacklustre affair to watch as neither side could really get a foothold on the game.

De Vries was forced into action on a few occasions in the first half however as he made 2 or 3 great saves from long range efforts. Lawrence also went close at the other end with a header.

Painter forced Coyne into his first save of the game but the sides went in at the break level.

Martinez made his first change on the hour mark as Feeney went off and was replaced by Bauza.

The game looked to be heading for a bore goalless draw as neither side could improve and break the deadlock.

We then made our second change as Britton came on for Darren Pratley on 74 minutes.

As we looked to be heading for a well-earned point, former Tranmere midfielder Andy Robinson caused trouble with 9 minutes remaining and his cross from the left was deflected in by Jennings. The Swans battled to defend their rather surprising lead and De Vries was on typical form again to deny the opposition a goal, saving Sheriff's header in the dying minutes.
