Reserves Win 3-1 At Yeovil

Swansea City have completed a winning double over Yeovil Town with a 3-1 win over the Glovers in the Pontin's Holidays Combination Wales & West reserves leauge.

Yeovil Town had former Swansea City striker Adebayo Akinfenwa in their starting line 11.

Spanish stars Bauza Mayol and Andrea Orlandi were on the score sheet along with youngster Keri Morgan who came of the bench to score. On loan Charlton Athletic Striker James Walker scored for the home side.

After failing to make the 16-man squad on Saturday, Andrea Orlandi staked his claim for a first team place with a superb individual effort after around 20 minutes. The left winger curled a 30 yard shot into the top corner.

Bauza then doubled our lead with 10 minutes remaining in the first half when he headed home a cross from the right.

Akinfenwa was in the Yeovil side but looked even more off the pace than he would normally.

Alan Tate was also back playing football following his injury and he played his party in keeping their strikers quiet in the opening 45 minutes.

Yeovil made changes at the beginning of the second half including their formation. Akinfenwa was taken off.

The Glovers started to get into the game more and their change to a 4-4-2 formation did the trick when Walker scored after 66 minutes with a close range tap in.

Kerry Morgan then came on to get our third and to put the game beyond any doubt. Cutting in from the left, the young striker, currently on loan at Port Talbot, struck a low drive into the bottom corner.
