Swansea City 0-1 Reading

Swansea City are out of the Carling Cup tonight after a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Reading.

It took the Premiership side 105 minutes before they got the winning goal as Swansea dominated the early exchanges.

Steve Coppell's side were given a real run for their money as it was the hosts who were creating the most chances throughout the game as Dorus De Vries had little to do.

Sam Sodje was sent off for a second yellow card on the hour mark, but Swansea failed to take full advantage of this as chance after chance went begging.

Leroy Lita got the vital goal just before the end of the first half of extra time as he converted a David Kitson cross from close range.
