Schipluiden 0 - Swansea 2

30th July

Attendance:

Schipluiden 0-2 Swansea

Goals from Darryl Duffy and Leon Britton gave Swansea a 2-0 win in their second Holland Tour friendly, against Schipluiden.

There was also a boost for Martinez as Jason Scotland played some part, and had a goal disallowed.

After scoring against Telstar, Kristian O'Leary assisted a goal today as Duffy headed in his cross to give us the lead after 9 minutes.

The Swans created a host of chances early on with Ferrie Bodde involved in most of them. He was continuing to impress and will be one to watch when the season starts for sure.

We dominated the game against a part-time side but we were still finding it difficult to find the net on a regular basis.

Britton added a second when he raced on a free-kick pass from Andy Robinson.

Roberto Martinez's match reaction:

''It's been a good day,''

''The big plus was to see both Jason Scotland and Darryl Duffy back in action again. It gave everyone a positive lift, especially coming out of the game injury free.

''Like I said after our first game, the result wasn't important. We stepped it up after our defeat against Telstar and it was a good exercise. This type of game is a lot better than training and it was a good run out for the boys.''

Swansea Line-up: de Vries (Gueret 46), Tate (capt, Rangel 46), Lezou, Lawrence (Watt 46), Painter (Austin 46), Collins (Britton 46), Bodde (Pratley 46), O'Leary (McDonald 46), Anderson (Robinson 46), Craney (Scotland 46, Allen 72), Duffy (Morgan 72).
