Port Talbot 1 - Swansea 1

Remax Stadium

25th July 2007

Attendance:

Port Talbot 1-1 Swansea

Swansea City ended their Welsh friendlies with a poor performance against Port Talbot at the Remax Stadium.

A number of key players were missing tonight including Darryl Duffy and Lee Trundle. His absence added to the speculation that he was set for a move to Bristol City, but a few other players were left out of the squad.

After a goalless first half, the home side took the lead in the second. It wasn't until late on that we managed to get an equaliser through defender Steve Watt.

Trialists Ibrahima Thiam and Jamie Price were both playing as they hoped to impress Roberto Martinez to earn themselves a contract.

Martinez has also stated that the focus changes from fitness to tactics when his squad plays 4 friendlies in as many days on their Holland Tour.

more to follow.

A ***** preformance from swansea 2day trundle was missing and ain got no injury could the rumors be true and trundle be on his way he was not even at the ground which is funny because he has played all swansea friendlys against the welsh clubs. but swansea city did not play well and not 1 player stood out in the match Portalbot put up a great fight and probley were unlucky not to pull off another great victory
