It was a dissapointing night for Swansea City after suffering a 3-2 defeat away at Brighton.
With Trundle out injured, Jackett opted to go with Craney up front alongside Akinfenwa while new signing Meslian was left out of the whole squad with Austin replacing him.
The hosts only needed 13 minutes to take the lead as Danny Cox did well to cut inside of Amankwaah on the left before striking a superb long-range effort at goal, giving Gueret no chance.
Cox continued to cause problems for the Swans and he was their most active player in the opening half.
We finally created our first decent attempt on goal with 38 minutes played. Amankwaah made a good run down the right and his cross was met by Akinfenwa, whose looping header struck the bar.
Andy Robinson then had a couple of shots saved by the keeper before the referee blew for half time.
HALF TIME: BRIGHTON 1 SWANSEA 0
Jackett made a change before the start of the second half, taking off MacDonald and bringing on Rory Fallon. The striker moved into attack with Craney returning to midfield.
12 minutes later and Jackett made another change, young striker Chris Jones replaced Akinfenwa.
This proved to be a good decision as Jones made an instant impact, making a good run down the right before passing to Robinson. His cross was then met by Lawrence who headed in to equalise for the Swans.
The scores were level for just seven minutes though as Revell put Brighton back in front, as the Swans conceded yet another goal from a set piece. Revell headed home from the free-kick.
With 9 minutes left, Revell looked to have put the game beyond any doubt, extending their lead to two goals making it 3-1, and another goal conceded from a set piece! This time it was a corner and Revell fired home after a scramble in the box.
Things got worse though as captain Darren Pratley will miss Saturday's game after getting sent off for a second bookable offence.
Swansea weren't giving up though as Rory Fallon brought it back to 3-2 at the beginning of 4 minutes of injury time.
He then had another great chance to be the hero of the day but somehow he missed a chance from close range.
