Swans Crash Out Of Trophy

Swansea City's defence of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy came to an end tonight after a 1-0 defeat to Peterborough at London Road.

Crow got the winning goal for the home side just 3 minutes into the game after taking advantage of a long ball which both Lawrence and Gueret failed to deal with.

Despite Jackett having his fair share of injuries in his squad, he still had enough quality to progress through to the third round.

The likes of Trundle, Fallon, Williams and Tudur-Jones were on the bench while 17 year-old striker made his full debut up front alongside Akinfenwa.

Defender Steven Watt also made his first start of the season as he paired up with Lawrence in centre defence.

Yet another game in which we couldn't score in, as the likes of Jones and Tudur-Jones both failed to finish off their chances.

Trundle came on during the second half but that made no difference as the League 2 side held out for the win.

The Swans can now concentrate on the League and with 3 games this week and 2 defeats so far, we'd better finish it off with a home win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Swansea City: Gueret, Amankwaah, Austin, Watt, Lawrence ©, Tate, O'Leary, MacDonald, Butler, Jones, Akinfenwa. Subs: Trundle, Fallon, Williams, Tudur Jones, Graves.

No one bothering with article comments anymore then on here!? Can't say I'm too bothered about going out though, at least now we can concentrate on the league.
