Northampton 1 - Swansea 0

28/11/06

Attendance:

Northampton 1 Swansea 0

Swansea City ended their 3-match winning streak after handing Northampton Town their first home win of the season.

I thought those days were over when we'd be the team to end bad runs of other teams but we can still manage to do it.

With a near full strength side to choose from and travelling to the Sixfields Stadium on the back of 3 straight wins, confidence I thought would have been high and I couldn't anything but a win (or a draw I suppose) this afternoon.

Captain Darren Pratley was missing however which was a surprise and apparantly he had a late ankle injury.

Chambers scored the only goal of the game 10 into the second hald to give the Cobblers all 3 points and to lift them up 2 places to 14th, while Swansea go down 1 to 6th.

More to follow.

That's a very poor result. I thought we'd at least get a draw there as they haven't won at home all season till now. We need to get back to winning ways on Friday night now then.
