Swans Go Through On Pens

Swansea City progress through to the next round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after beating Walsall 4-3 on penalties.

Kenny Jackett made a few changes as Oakes replaced Gueret in goal and Lawrence returned to the starting line-up.

Butler, Tudur-Jones and MacDonald were also given starts while 17 year-old Chris Jones came on as a second half substitute.

There was no place for Rory Fallon though, not even on the bench as Jackett went for a 4-5-1 formation with Trundle as a lone striker.

The game looked to be heading for spot-kicks but Owain Tudur-Jones made a welcoming return when he looked to have won us the game with a goal in the 90th minute.

Left back Tommy Williams scored the final penalty to put the Cup-holders through to the Southern Section second round.
