N Forest 3 - Swansea 1

City Ground

30th September

Attendance: 19,034

Forest 3 Swansea 1

Swansea City continued their frustrating inconsistent form after suffering another heavy away defeat.

We travelled to the City Ground today hoping to build on Tuesday's 2-1 home win over Crewe but the story of our season so far continues, as we simply can't put together a good run of results as we fall to 12th in the table.

Thankfully, Kenny Jackett didn't change a winning side and we made a good start as Fallon was on the scoresheet again, his second in as many games as he headed home from Robinson's corner with 3 minutes left of the first half.

Forest's recent form was reflected by their first half performance as the Swans dominated possession.

Kris Commons tried his luck though to get a instant equaliser but Oakes made a good save to deny the left winger.

Calderwood's side didn't exactly make an instant impact following the restart but unsurprisingly the Swans opened the door to let them back in the game, and in a 13-minute nap for the Swansea side, Forest scored 3 to wrap up victory to secure their place at the top of the league.

Perch received a good pass from Commons to equaliser on 54 minutes. 2 minutes later they went ahead, 1 assist and a goal for Commons.

Agogo then wrapped it up 11 minutes later after running onto a through ball by Southall. Our defence has been guilty of some dire defending at set pieces recently, but our problems now seem to lie with through balls. Taylor-Fletcher scored 2 for Huddersfield from through balls and Forest scored 2 today from killer through passes.

Forest now looked like a side worthy of that top spot, their fans predicted that a side was going to get a hammering off the leaders soon as the Swans now tried to avoid embarrassment with 20 minutes remaining.
