Swansea City 4 - Reading 2

Wembley

30th May 2011

Attendance: 86,581

We're In The Premier League!

Scott Sinclair scored a play-off final hatrick to help the Swans beat Reading 4-2 in front of 86,000 fans at Wembley to win us promotion to the Premier League!

Brendan Rodgers' side stormed into a 3-0 lead at half time, but Reading came out fighting in the second half and scored 2 quick goals for what was a very nervous second half for the Swans until Sinclair killed the game off from the penalty spot to make it 4-2.

As soon as the celebrations are over, we at Vital Swansea will try and find the words to describe what an amazing day it has been in London! Full report, photos and videos to follow...

all right girls, congrats on getting to the prem but you will only be up there for 1 season. your defence is good at championship level but will struggle at prem level, your passing game won't work because you will be shut down much quicker up in the prem. and swansea you always struggle for goals so i say next season you will come 23 in prem.good luck.

Shows how much you know about the premiership. Theres only 20 temas in prem so how can we finish 23rd lol. Plus we have no debt to pay off!!! And we have had a good scoring record this season. You cant make predictions, when you dont know how we will use our money!!

Swansea City lets go, I will be at as many away games as i possibly can and for certain the home games, Wembley was a massive buzz, and I drove a bus down, and wherever Swansea City go my bus will go as well, I think Newcastle and Sunderland games will be a sleep over so I can drink as well.

It's a Shame that we didn't have a bigger ground, The Liberty with 50,000 full of Jacks singing North Bank songs would be amazing, just like Wembley was with 40,000, we just took over Wembley, the roads in the petrol station, the ramp to the stadium was all black and white, This is Swansea City, and after years in the lower leagues we are back where we belong.
