Swans shocker in Welsh Cup
Swansea City crashed out of the FAW Premier Cup after a shocking display against the League Of Wales leaders, Rhyl this evening.
2 goals in the last minute of the first half won Rhyl £50,000 and an easy way through to meet Wrexham in the Final in May.
Alan Tate gifted them with an own goal to break the deadlock as he dived to head clear but instead it was directed into the corner of the net.
Only Moments later, Rhyl extended their lead when Hylton cleared a close range shot off the line as Freestone came to collect but Walters latched on to Hylton's poor clearance and his low shot flew into the bottom corner.
This was yet another huge embarassment for the Swans in the FAW Premier Cup that they would like to forget and new manager, Kenny Jackett has a tough job at hand to sort out his squad prior to Saturday's tough trip to Lincoln City.
The Swansea side were pathetic, appauling and a disgrace. They again showed signs of unfitness, disinterest and a lack of character whatsoever in an attempt to get back into the game in the 2nd half. I would write on about the huge list of weaknesses we showed tonight, but I think you've gathered how poor we were.
Kenny Jacket's Thought's
The new Swans manager admitted that his first game in charge was extremely dissapointing and he added: 'I learned a lot about the players. I learned we've got some talent but haven't necessarily got the balance.
'Every time the ball went into the box I felt Rhyl we stronger than us a little bit keener to get to the ball.'
