Referee:

Things go from bad to worse for the Swans as they suffered their second defeat in 3 games. The Cobblers handed Roberto Martinez's side their heaviest defeat of the season as they romped to a comfortable 4-2 win.

After just 23 minutes, the hosts were 3 goals up and cruising as the Swans defence had a mare.

Their first came after 14 minutes, when Adebayo Akinfenwa headed a corner towards Hubertz who made no mistake from 6 yards. 5 minutes later, Tate put the ball into his own net after deflecting Daniel James' shot past De Vries.

4 minutes later and it was 3-0. Ferrie Bodde brought down Gilligan in the box and Hubertz got his second of the game from the spot.

Swansea City pulled one back on the half hour mark as Scotland beat the offside trap to score after latching onto Bodde's pass.

We then had a chance to get it back to 3-2 before half time but the keeper saved Scotland's effort before Bauza hit wide from the rebound.

Martinez made a change at the restart, bringing on Pratley for Painter and risking 3 at the back. It was a risky move after our first half defensive show but we had nothing to lose.

7 minutes into the second half though, and Northampton made it four. It was more woeful defending from the Swans as Akinfenwa fed Jackman to score.

The former Swan nearly got a goal himself but his free header went wide of the post.

We got a consolation goal late on as Scotland again linked up with Bodde to increase his tally to 24.
