After another moral boosting win away from home at AFC Bournemouth last weekend , Swansea face a tricky home clash vs Danny Wilson's 7th Placed Hartlepool United.
Roberto Martinez and his near fully fit squad will be confident of making it 5 wins on the bounce. The Spaniard has a major selection quandary on his hands with only 1 first team player Darren Way doubtful.
Martinez will be looking to the in form Warren Feeney to contiune his goal scoring form after the Striker has scored 4 goals in 4 games.
Midfielder Andy Robinson has also signalled to the fans on Saturday to Rock the Liberty Stadium. In recent weeks there has been a campagin at the stadium to improve the match day atmosphere at the stadium. With Swansea sitting on top of the leauge one summit attendance at the Liberty Stadium is expected to be higher than recent games.
This is the first game of the controversial Leeds Link ticket scheme to encourage more supporters through the turnstiles.
Danny Wilson's Hartlepool United will come into the game with a poor away record in the leauge after only winning 2 games on the road all season.
Pool's midfielder Richie Humphreys.
''There's been a massive transformation at Swansea.'I think they were still playing at The Vetch then but they have improved the Club facilities, with the ground for starters. They were always going to have good crowds but they have got better and the whole structure of the Club looks to be sound. They have threatened for the last couple of seasons to get into the Championship and they've made some excellent signings over the last couple of years so they have a strong outfit.'.'' |
"They are one of the best attacking teams in the division and if we can get a clean sheet then if would give us a great chance of getting three points because going forward I am confident we can cause them a few problems."Swansea are top of the league but that could chop and change every week - that is how tight this division is. "There is no doubt this will be a tough test for us. "I think it has the makings of a good game but I would take getting battered for 90 minutes and us winning -0." |
In What must be the first time in over 12 months Roberto Martinez will have a near full strength squad at his disposal.
The Spaniard was handed a timely boost with the news this week that Owain Tudur Jones, Alan Tate , Andy Robinson , Leon Britton and Darryl Duffy were all fit to play after returning to training.
The Only major doubt will be Darren Way who is a little short of match fitness.
The on loan striker has been a revelation for Swansea City in the last few games.Feeney hit a brace last weekend against his former club AFC Bournemouth and scored the vital winning goal against Swindon Town on the 2nd of October.
The Northern Irish international has shown composure and attacking intent in the previous few games ; so much so that Swansea City and Cardiff City have agreed a fee for the Striker for a permanent switch to the Liberty Stadium.
Pool's manager Danny Wilson will be without Striker Ian Moore. The Former Bradford City striker has scored 5 goals in all competitions so far this season. Wilson will have other options upfront with Richard Barker , Australian striker Joel Porter and on form James Brown.
The Hartlepool Youngster has been one of the shining lights this season for the Victoria Park based outfit. He is the Pool's top scorer with 6 goals (4 in the leauge and 2 in cup competitions.)
Hartlepool Vital's Pen Pic on Brown
| ''James Brown poses a significant threat wherever he played, his ball skills are tough to defend against and he has tricks and pace to get away from defenders' |
