It's an early kick off tomorrow (1.30pm) as the club have given fans the opportunity to watch the Wales rugby match afterwards at 4pm.
Following last week's dissapointing defeat at Leeds, the Swans hope to get to winning ways tomorrow as Brighton visit the Liberty Stadium.
Roberto Martinez:
| 'Brighton have got huge talent in their squad, very young players, very energetic, very arrogant in the right way in football terms. 'They are going to give us a very energetic performance, they are a team that is capable of the counter attack and give you a lot of problems. 'We need to get back to what we are capable of and do the right things and the results will follow. 'It would be foolish for me to say we don't want the points. 'We want to win every single game and get as many points as we can, but the priority is giving the level of performance that will take us through the next month.' |
| 'I would be amazed if they don't finish in the top six this season, so it is a very good yardstick for us. 'I have already seen them twice this season and they are a very good side. They try to play with a lot of width, they have got quality throughout the side and they pose a major threat but it is not a challenge we are fearful of. 'It is something we are looking forward to and we feel we are capable of coming away with three points.' |
Roberto Martinez is without striker Darryl Duffy and Warren Feeney is likely to replace him up front alongside Jason Scotland. The Swans boss doesn't need to make changes elsewhere although Darren Pratley will be hoping to get into the side after getting dropped to the bench for the trip to Leeds. Andrea Orlandi is also knocking on the door for his first start.
Andy Robinson and Leon Britton are still out injured.
It'll be interesting to see how he gets on up front with Scotland. Duffy has began the season well so we need Feeney to put in some good performances while he sits on the sidelines.
Brighton will be boosted by the returns of strikers Bas Savage and Nicky Forster though four players will be missing through injury, Adam Hinshelwood, Adam El-Abd, Paul Reid and Joel Lynch.
The midfielder is Brighton's top goalscorer this season with 4 goals.
He came through the club's youth system and made his debut when he was 17 in 2000.
Brighton have lost their last 2 games and are yet to win a game on their travels this season. The Seagulls currently sit in 12th place with 3 wins and 4 defeats so far this term.
In the Shooting Stats League, Brighton are fourth from bottom with 34 shots on target, 35 off target and 1 hitting the woodwork. In comparison, Swansea are fifth in that league, with 61 shots on target and 40 off target, with 5 attempts hitting the woodwork.
Wilkins side have also only scored 1 goal away, losing all 3 away games this year. In Swansea's last 2 wins, Martinez's side have come back from going a goal behind to win.
Brighton also have a tendancy of conceding goals late on in games. Tranmere scored twice in the last 12 minutes to beat them 2-0, while Gillingham scored a late winner 8 minutes from time to claim all 3 points.
Michael Jones from Chester.
Stats this season:
10 Games, 29 Yellows, 1 Red.
He refereed 2 of our games last season. The home game against Huddersfield (lost 2-1) and the away game at Bristol City (drew 0-0).
With Brighton losing all of their away games so far, I think the Swans should be capable of putting more misery on their away form.
I'm going for a 2-0 Swansea win.
