Swansea City vs Walsall

It hasn't been said often in recent months but Swansea City will be looking to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night following Saturday's dissapointing draw away at Crewe Alexandra.

Roberto Martinez's side threw away a 2-goal advantage on the weekend which reduces our lead at the top to 8 points as Doncaster won 2-0 at home to Bristol Rovers.

Walsall will arrive at the Liberty Stadium on the back of Saturday 2-0 home win over Yeovil, and after a slow start they have risen up the table well, losing just once in the last 19 games.

Vital Quotes:

Former Cardiff City and now Walsall defender, Rhys Weston:

"It will be one of the hardest games of the season,"

"Playing the League leaders on their home turf is going to be a tough prospect, but it`s one we`re looking forward to."

Swansea City Team News:

Roberto Martinez will see the return of left back Marcos Painter tomorrow as he has served a one-match ban after picking up 5 yellow cards. Defender Dennis Lawrence is out for 2-3 weeks so the Swansea boss is likely to make at least 2 changes.

Painter should replace Austin at left back and Tate should slot in alongside him.

Roberto may opt to go back to 4-5-1 at home after going with 4-4-2 away at Crewe.

Darren Pratley was on the bench on Saturday after returning from suspension and injury an he'll be hoping to start again.

Player to watch: Ferrie Bodde

Didn't have the best of games on Saturday but Ferrie Bodde is always a player to watch in midfield. Hopefully he'll be reunited with Pratley alongside him, a partnership that works very well. He can control the game and get our attacks moving with a single superb pass, we need him to be back at the top of his game tomorrow.

Walsall Team News:

Walsall could be without Darren Wrack and Alex Nicholls after both picked up head injuries on Saturday.

Richard Taundry and new arrival Alassane N'Dour will be pushing for starting places.

Welsh under 21 International Mark Bradley was missing from the game on Saturday so he could still be sidelined on Tuesday.

Weston also picked up a knock on the weekend and may need a fitness test to earn a start.

Player to watch: Tommy Mooney

Is Walsall's top scorer this year with 10 goals, 9 of them in League One. He'll certainly be a handful for the Swans' defence.

Match Facts & Stats

Walsall are third in the Away form league, losing just once in the last 5 games on their travels.

Their last away win was on Tuesday 8th January, beating Yeovil 2-0, and completed the double over the Glovers last Saturday.

Walsall have lost just once in the last 19, and after a poor start which saw them fail to win in the first 5 games, they've risen up to 5th place in the League.

Match Prediction:

The team will know they have to get to winning ways on Tuesday to maintain their healthy lead at the top.

It'll be a tough game but I expect a close win. Swansea to win 2-1

danny merch..No offence meant to the swans over on the leeds site ..you took that one out of context ... Leeds think they have a right to be in the top flight and have been looking down their noses at us poor relations(anyone outside the top flight) for decades...Now we have an oppertunity to bring them down to earth were taking it with both hands..All the best on Tuesday against Walsall..
