As you say,a missed opportunity. It's not as if we need to penny pinch, the television coverage money would have compensated for lack of gate income, but now we'll have a lack of something else, atmosphere.
Apparently,Pablo is back in training, will he be kept for Southampton,or will he make a cameo appearance. Dyer and Routledge didn't impress last Saturday, although Davies's overlaps on the left did.
Tiendalli looks as if he needs matches,he's shown he can excel in some games last season,so another work out for him on Thursday then.

Will be interesting to see what team is put out tomorrow, from the stats St Gallen have done well in their league though are not prolific scorers. Would like to think we can win this game but who knows, the Saints match on Sunday is of far more importance so would keep Pablo back til then. Can't see either Rangel or Ash being involved but as you say it gives Tiendali more match practice unless he wants to try Neil Taylor at right back which is a position he did play for the GB team last summer.

We are in a bit of trouble defensively, where the squad members coming in do not have matches under their belt to get sharpness. We know how good Taylor is,but he's been off injured,Tiendalli is not up to speed, and Amat is young and relatively inexperienced. Looking at Tiendalli on Saturday,he was very poor,so maybe Taylor would be the better option.
St Gallen are on a high after beating Spartak Moscow home and away, and Zurich Grasshoppers away last weekend, and are unbeaten this season.
They'll be a very tough nut to crack,so an early goal for us would settle things down.
Pablo needs game time, but won't be risked tonight.Rangel hopefully back for Sunday.
Williams,if he doesn't play Sunday, should not even travel with the Welsh squad and rest his ankle for the two week break, why jet all over Europe if he can't play.

Ash named in Coleman's Wales squad, ML had asked for our captain to be allowed time to rest & recover but no chance and just shows how little the Wales manager cares about his home town club. What's the point of picking him when he is obviously not fit to travel .....I'm disgusted with Coleman he obviously has some agenda against his former club as he does all he can to cause our players problems.
