Welcome. Another foreign member who joins through a game (usually Footy Manager)

Swansea - By the Sea, South Wales (not England) not a bad side... um... Instant Custard is rumoured to be invented here. Bet a lot of locals didn't know that either.

Hello.

I am an American Swans fan. I was never really followed footall much until Fox Soccer channel came into my life and have ever since fallen in love with the sport. I still bounce around on which premier league team I support, but I've always loved Swansea. My family was originally from the Swansea area before moving the to the States five or so generations ago so choosing Swansea as my team was a given. I am enjoying the greatest footballing month of my life right now after getting to watch the Swans play for the first time ever, not once but twice. I got to see both FA Cup ties against Horsham on television. Not the same as being there, but I'll take whatever I can get.

I'm looking forward to being able to talk to other Swans fan, and be able to learn more about the team I love.

Cheers,

Ron

Thanks for the welcome, sbrjack.

I am a fan of a few other sports, though I have found soccer to be quite engrossing. I am also a Major League Soccer fan, and with the MLS season running April through November, soccer is a year-round pastime for me. In the MLS, I am a Chicago Fire fan and go to as many games as I can. Haven't yet become a season ticket holder, but I might yet change the wife's mind concerning that. I am a baseball fan. I watch some American football, but not as much as I used to. I prefer college football over the NFL. I don't watch much hockey and I don't like basketball. Though not an American sport, really, but I do enjoy watching F1. NASCAR's left turns gets boring to me.

I do have a quick question if I may. Does anyone have any experience with Swans World and would it be a viable option for me to keep up on the team and be able to watch some live games? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Ron, thanks for joining! hope you stick around.

Swans world is a con really, you can watch highlights for free on Virgin (UK only though). The only other thing it offers is radio commentary, but you can get that free on Swansea sound, which we put up during games. no live games unfortunately.

Hey all, Rhys from Neyland in Pembrokeshire, 19 years old, got started on the swans in school when my teacher used to talk about them, then played them on Playstation and ever sinse being able to drive have gone up to as many games as possible. If I go up on train and make a day out of watching the boys play then I go to a cool little pub called the white swan by the train station, sit in the East stand normally and have got a passion for tattoos, thats about it.

Hi all, some of you knew me already. I'm YILDIRAY UYGUN from Izmir, TURKEY.
i am a member of vitalfootball forum but i found this part now.

When i am fourteen (in 2000) i met with swansea with championship manager like CJ. since then, swansea have been important life for me. in that season swansea was in divison three i think roger freestone mathew bound, jason price and thomas were in the squad ha?. i always choose swansea to manage when a new version of managership game come out.

this season i try to listen the swanseasound for swansea matches. my biggest dream is being in swansea and watching a match in liberty and see vetch field. someday i will be there..

see you later guys,
swansea till i die
