The Magic Numbers come to Pontardawe

Hi,

First post here from an Oldham Athletic fan. When I think of Swansea City, I always think of the opening day of the 2007/08 season, when you visited Boundary Park. You played us off the park, but somehow we beat you 2-1. We knew that day that you were going to have a great season, but never for a moment thought that six years later you'd be in the top division and playing in Europe!

Anyway, as well as being made miserable by Latics, I run a music promotions company and on the 11th September, we are bringing platinum-selling band, The Magic Numbers to Pontardawe, near Neath, as part of their first ever acoustic tour. Support on the night comes from hotly-tipped London band, Goldheart Assembly.

I just thought that some of you fine chaps (and ladies) may be interested.

All of the details can be found at the link below:

Cheers and have a great season.

Mike

I remember the match well. Our meteoric rise through the divisions has been a fantastic experience and our fans are still having to pinch themselves,in case it's all a dream. But we've shown the lower league clubs that it can be done, with a board of directors who are genuine fans off the terraces,a supporters trust with a 20% ownership of the club, and a great style of football.
Good luck for your gig in Pontardawe,I'm sure it will be well attended.

Yes I was at that match at Oldham and despite the loss that day felt that we would have a good season because of our style of play under Martinez and so it proved. As Keith says we have just continued to improve each year thanks to our forward thinking board and to be where we are now is an unbelievable dream and long may it continue.
All the best for the gig next month.
