Swansea January Player Of The Month

Swansea January Player Of The Month

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton wins Vital Swansea's vote for the January Player of the Month award.

Leon picked up 45% of the vote, nearly double of second placed Darren Pratley who received 25%.

Guillem Bauza, who came second in the League One Player of the Month award, only came third with 19%. Monk followed with 7% and the remaining 4% went to other players.

Roberto Martinez has moved Britton into the centre from his usual right-wing position, as Liverpool loanee has taken over that place.

Despite some believing he would struggle in the middle, he has adapted superbly, and despite his small size, he has battled hard and proved to be excellent ball winner.

After a disappointing performance at Havant and Waterlooville along with the rest of the squad that night, he looked like he wanted to make amends and he certainly did, with a man of the match performance 3 days later against Port Vale at home.

In our new poll, we'd like to know how you think we'll get off away at Crewe next Saturday.

Can the Swans continue their unbeaten run and maintain their 10-point gap at the top of League One?
