Ty Hafan provides respite, palliative and end of life care for children with life limiting conditions from all across Wales and their families.
Our services are provided free of all charge to families, and our beautiful hospice is located along the Sully Coastline Near Barry.
Each year, we need to raise funding to cover our annual running costs which are currently £2.5m per year.
To help raise this money, we arrange many fund-raising events and there are lots of things that you can do to help us.. full details can be found at our website www.tyhafan.org
In March we are running a Swansea regional 5-a-side tournament to help raise money for our children, and even if you are not a football player, you will still have great fun taking part in this event:-
It's not too late to enter a team for the Ty Hafan Charity Shield.
Teams of up to 8 players are invited to join us for the biggest charity football tournament of 2008. (mixed teams are allowed to enter too..)
You can also get your friends, family and work colleagues involved and get them to sponsor you to help raise the entry fee...
Ty Hafan - The Children's hospice in Wales invite you to take part in one of the biggest 5-a-side charity tournaments of 2008 -The Ty Hafan Charity Shield
The tournament is a world cup 'pool' style competition, which means that all teams are guaranteed plenty of football action and fun during the initial pool stages, before hopefully reaching the knock-out stages, and who knows, it may even be your team that walks away with the Swansea regional Charity Shield.
The 2008 Charity Shield takes place at the recently opened prestigious playfootball.net venue in Swansea on Saturday 8th March, and this could be a fantastic team building opportunity for your company or existing team.
Teams of up to 8 players are welcome to take part in this exciting event, and its only £200 per team to enter -this could work out at just £25 per player. So not only will you be doing what you enjoy most, but you will also be helping Ty Hafan to raise the £2.5 million annual running costs for the hospice.
All players will receive a free T-shirt and a match day souvenir.
Places are limited, so you will need to act quickly, and if you would like to enter a team then call Alan at Ty Hafan on 02920 672060 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and you can also find full details on our website www.tyhafan.org
So Dig deep for this worthy cause.
