Britton: Belief Is Running High

Belief in the promotion push to the Championship at the 3rd time of asking, ahead of the top of the table clash against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday is running high according to diminutive midfielder Leon Britton.

3 points at the City Ground would extend Roberto Martinez's sides lead at the top of league one to 14 points. Already signaling a massive signal of intent with a 11 point lead after the 4-0 win over one of the in form sides in the division Doncaster Rovers on Friday concentration is a key factor in the South Wales sides current lofty position insists Britton.

The former West Ham trainee has been an integral part of an already impressive Swansea midfield and has put his early injury woes aside to produce Man Of The Match performances his latest against Crewe Alexandra.

Britton Told The Western Mail Post.

"But we`re not thinking about other teams or who we have to face.We are all just concentrating on ourselves, doing things the right way and playing the way we can because we know that`s what has got us to where we are at the moment."

You could argue that every game is a big game from now until the end of the season so we can`t worry who we are playing. There`s so much belief among the lads now it really doesn`t matter."

"A lot of the players who were here then have talked about that to the new lads and mentioned how we were flying but ended up in almost relegation form. We went through that and know what`s expected of us to make sure it doesn`t happen again."

Hopefully we can pass that on to others so we don`t get carried away and stay strong until we actually achieve something."

The fixture against Nottingham Forest is an all ticket game.

We need to keep our feet firmly on the ground, but we are looking very strong candidates for League 1 Champs
