Pratley A Doubt For Doncaster

Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez says Darren Pratley has only a 20% chance of being fit for tomorrow's tough trip to high-flyers Doncaster.

The midfielder picked up a slight hamstring tear in the 2-1 win against Crewe on Tuesday and looks set to miss the next 3 games as he also serves a 2-match suspension (Forest & Oldham).

Pratley's absence will be a blow to the Swans tomorrow as he has been in terrific form as of late.

However, Martinez has adequate replacements and options and may decide to return to a 4-4-2 formation.

Roberto Martinez told the Official Site:

'Darren picked up a slight hamstring tear against Crewe and has to be rated as a doubt,''

'At the moment I'd say he only has a 20 per cent chance of making it, but we'll just have to wait and see.''

'If Darren is ruled out, then whoever comes in will be ready for the challenge,'' added Roberto, who has been full of praise for the midfield trio of Pratley, Leon Britton and Ferrie Bodde.

'The important thing from our point of view is to get Darren over the injury and ready for selection for the game at Crewe on February 9.

'It's pointless rushing him back to soon because we can't afford to lose him for six or seven weeks.''

Jason Scotland will be hoping to start again after being on the subs bench against Crewe. He has been hampered lately with a bruised foot.

If he is still unable to play a full game, Manchester United loanee Febian Brandy could get his first start for the club.

Would have prefered o have Pratley avaiable, but on the plus side, if he does miss doncaster due to the injury he then has a week and a bit to recover from itproperly, he will be refreshed after sitting out those games and it will also give somebody else some match time.
