Bodde To The Ready

Dutchman Ferrie Bodde will return to the heart of the Swansea midfield tomorrow afternoon as Port Vale are the visitors to the Liberty Stadium.

Sent off against Leeds United on the 29th December Bodde has seen his team mates keep top spot , go into the regional final of the southern section of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and exit the FA Cup; since his enforced time out of action.

Criticism had been placed on premiership referee Andre Marriner following the former Den Hagg players dismissal .Many fans and players alike felt that the referee was pressurised by the Leeds players to send the highly influential midfielder off the field of play.

Despite his time on the sidelines Bodde has remained positive and wants to put the events of the game behind him.

The midfielder has suggested he is now a marked man by referees after picking up 2 red cards this season.

He Told The Evening Post

'I'm ready to play and desperate to get back involved tomorrow. There has been a lot of negative feeling around me since Leeds and I want to put it behind me.'

I think referees are already remembering my name, so it's up to me to try even harder to keep out of trouble now. "

Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez could hand new signing Fabien Brandy an appearance ad Jason Scotland is struggling to shake off a bruised foot.
