Robinson Dreaming Of Anfield

Andy Robinson is dreaming of Anfield after the FA Cup 4th round draw was made at FA Headquarters at Soho Square .

The draw has pitted either Swansea City or Havant and Waterlooville facing a possible mouthwatering tie against premiership outfit Liverpool. The Reds must come through a replay against Luton Town tomorrow to secure their place in the 4th round after being held to a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road.

The former Tranmere player has been pivotal in Swansea City's season so far with his 8 goals contributing to the clubs excellent run of form.

All that stands in Robinson's way is Blue Square South outfit Havant and Waterlooville. The Hawks will be also looking to secure a lucrative tie with Liverpool as they hope to down Swansea on Wednesday. The Hampshire club sold out of their allocation for the fixture which should provide a great atmosphere at the club's Westleigh Park ground.

The non league side will provide a stern test for Roberto Martinez's side as both sides will be look to continue their cup runs. Manager Shaun Gale would not have failed to take note of Swansea City's cup run so far this term. It has seen the Liberty Stadium outfit nearly undone at Billericay Town in the first round and for 23 first half minutes in the 2rd round replay Horsham Town looked to have been on the verge of causing an upset of their own.

Despite the task ahead the scouser is not counting is chickens and has expressed a degree of caution.

He Told The Evening Post

'I nearly wet myself when we came out of the hat with Liverpool.'

It would be an absolute dream tie for me - if I never played a football game again I'd be happy after that."

But we have got a massive game against Havant & Waterlooville first, and that was the first thing we said in the dressing room after we beat Luton."

It's a huge game for them too, but we're determined to get through and I believe we've got the talent to go there and score a couple of goals."

They are talking about a small pitch and this and that, but that means we'll be closer to their box and we've got players who come alive in that situation."

Swansea will turn their attentions back to league matters with Port Vale being the visitors to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
