Swansea Keen To Help Wrexham

Wrexham are perilously close to being relegated from the football league even at the midway point of the season. Brian Little's side will be hoping for a boost with an influx of new blood in the Racecourse ranks.

The Dragons narrowly avoided the drop last season but a 3-1 win over Boston United secured their league status for another season. Roberto Martinez quick to help the North Wales side has been in negotiations with Little about the possibility of loaning players to the league's basement club.

It is not the first time Swansea City have loaned players to their welsh counterparts. Welsh U-21 international Matty Collins moved to the club after former manager Brian Carey brought the midfielder on loan to the club.

Making 3 appearances for Wrexham , Collins returned to the Liberty Stadium after a change in management brought the end to his time at the racecourse.

Little has been in contact Martinez about the possibility of bolstering his squad and has expressed his hope of securing players to help them avoid relegation.

He Told The Evening Post

'We have to look everywhere and anywhere. "

We have spoken to Swansea in the past and we continue to speak to them. We have been on the phone to them and we know that Swansea will help us as much as they can."

We need to bring in players who have been in this situation before and might be able to turn things around.'Swansea are really keen to help us and hopefully we can find someone there that can do a job here.'

Wrexham continue their quest for survival at Mansfeild Town who are also in the relegation places.

I think its great that we are gonna help them they will need it. We have some players that could really do a job for them but cant get in our 1st team.

yep thats great to hear. id love some of our players to be involved in a great escape like we did in 2003. we have players who may be useless for us but could do a job for them.

More playing time for our players is allways good, as long as we can call them back if we need them then I cant see why we dont send some players. We need as many welsh teams in the league as possible.
